Its amazing that such different areas of HR software as LMS and recruitment are growing like crazy, and largely independently. Its really an incredible time in SaaS, but its only just getting underway.

HR software is a weird and beautiful and massively rich ecosystem. No one vendor will ever master all the possible technology areas around people. There’s plenty of space for everyone.

There will continue to be slow but steady consolidation at the centre. But around the edge will always be a furnace of innovation for new, trendy and visionary accessories to the core systems.

  2. Thanks for another great post Josh.

I think there is going to be enormous growth in the use of electronic performance support tools in the next few years. We still only give most of our managers a hammer and a screwdriver (aka Microsoft Outlook and Excel) and expect them to deliver amazing results. It seems inevitable to me that we’ll be able to access a wide range of tools in the future that help us to perform far more effectively in our role.

Great post. Like Andrew said, the kind of impact the LMS has made is commendable. It has evolved and keeps on evolving because there is potential to improvise. Besides, we have n number of options available which makes it a highly competitive market. I use Skyprep( https://skyprep.com/ )which helps me in a great deal to conduct assessment online for my students.
